Palermo Pride 2013

Show Side Menu

This year the city of Palermo has organized 10 days of music, shows, films, debates and exhibitions June 14 to 23, dedicated to the civil but also the fun and music. The Yards Cultural alla Zisa - where is home to the Pride Village - were the backdrop to a wonderful event that had its peak during the traditional parade on 22 June. The guests came from all over Italy and all over Europe to attend the Pride 2013, which will go down in the history of the city as the pride of the records. The concentration of the parade was held at 16:00 at the hole Umberto I.

Several wagons who marched during the demonstration in Palermo, including Amnesty International, Rainbow Families and opening the chariot of the Coordination Palermo Pride, set up with the style of the typical Sicilian carts.

Among the participants: the mayor Leoluca Orlando, Eva Riccobono, Vladimir Luxuria, Maria Grazia Cucinotta, Barbara Tabita, President of the Region of Sicily Rosario Crocetta, President of the Region of Puglia Nichi Vendola etc..

The TOBA Service has contributed to the event by providing their own power generators to make music available and lighting above the floats during the parade, as well as boxes and gazebos in the Pride Village to accommodate the many visitors who in those days flocked to the city.
