Over 200 thousand faithful found themselves on the lawn of photos Italico to follow the implementation of the Holy Father, in his only pastoral visit in Sicily during the pontificate. During the visit, Benedict XVI recalled Pino Puglisi, Falcone and Borsellino and urged young people not to believe the suggestions of the Mafia.
